For Alen, creating music is much like painting a picture: the process begins without knowing exactly what the final result will be. The moment of completion comes through feeling.

Music never stands still. Neither does the creative process. Alen is currently developing a new body of original work, bringing together fresh compositions and ideas that have been evolving over many years. Some songs are entirely new, while others are being rediscovered and transformed through the perspective of the person and musician he is today. Alen Ekmečić's creative expression is not limited to the stage or the recording studio. His music also finds its place in other forms of artistic expression, creating connections between sound, visual art and different creative disciplines.
One notable example is Viva la musica, an exhibition by renowned Bosnian visual artist and professor Amela Hadžimejlić, for which Alen composed the accompanying music.
This project reflects another dimension of his artistic personality: the ability to translate visual concepts and artistic ideas into sound, adding an emotional and musical layer to the overall experience.
For Alen, music is an open creative space — one that can exist independently or become part of a larger artistic vision.
